Rocna is the manufacturer of our new anchor. I know anchor selection is a very personal choice and I'm not going to waste space expounding the virtues of one type of anchor versus another, rather I'll just say that the new Rocna has lived up to the hype.

We've anchored out over three hundred nights on our's and knock on synthetic, polymer based laminate (we have no wood), we've had zero problems. In fact, the closet we've come to having a problem is in learning that we have to be a bit more gentle when initially backing down on the anchor, so as not to rip the bow sprit off.

The Rocna has taken no more than a couple of meters to set even in un-manned, reversing current situations. The Rocna isn't cheap, but in our minds it's worth every penny. I give it our highest rating, Maximum Sweetness!
