A Boring Day (by Tom)

The weather moved in as advertised right around sun up. The wind increased to 30 knots and swung to the west leaving us totally exposed. Despite the torrential rains, we decided to up anchor and feel our way to the north end of Thompson Bay where we would be more protected. It took some time due to the limited visibility, but after an hour we were safely re-anchored in five feet of water.

The rain stayed off and on all day and the high winds kept us on the boat. By late afternoon, the wind had moved around towards true north and abated to 15 knots making it much more pleasant on the boat. The ferrets finally decided to grace us with their presence around dinner time. Apparently they do not like rough anchorages.

Other than the weather and moving the boat, there is little to report from today. To fight off total boredom, I battled the combined Chinese and break away Baltic republics for control of the middle east oil supply. With Marley and Milo manning my side door 60mm cannons, we kicked a lot of communist ass. Not there is anything wrong with communist ass mind you, but I'm just saying.

Dinner was pressure cooker pork chops and potato wedges with a glass of chilled house white. To bed at 9 pm after a long and boring day.
