Cocoa Beach (by Tom)

We dropped our mooring ball and motored over to the fuel dock at first light. Forty gallons of gas later, we were on our way. The winds were just off the nose, so it was a long and boring motor pretty much all day.

We saw nine other cruising boats heading north through out the day. I guess the snow bird migration is officially under way.

We did our usual hour on, hour off routine through out the day and by 5 pm we had covered 60 miles and called it a day. We anchored in te protection of the causeway in 8 feet of water among some 20 boats; half of which were cruising boats and half of which were ghetto fabulous.

As an aside, this is the first time we have stopped at Coca Beach and it looks really nice. I think net trip we may take a day or two down here and do some exploring.

Dinner was grilled mahi and a salad. To bed at 8 pm for an early start tomorrow.
