Not a whole lot to report. We're still anchored off of the Monument and Amy is slowly getting better. Since our arrival last week she has been coughing and wheezing pretty consistently. It's had been worse at night and although you didn't hear it from me, until 2 nights ago, Mila weasel and I had been sleeping on the salon settee to hide from the loud, buzz saw noises that arrived with Amy's illness.
Amy was actually well enough to accompany me to volleyball on Saturday and then on Sunday in the early evening we went across the harbour to the Fish Fry with Don from Magic Beans and our friend Toby who used to cruise on Cariba with his wife Donna, but is currently here as captain of a 70 foot yacht named Duchess.
We got to tour Toby's mega yacht and despite being 20 years or so old, it is very nice. The owner is currently aboard with his wife and another couple as guests and they chose to join us for dinner at the shacks. As an aside, they seemed nice enough even though they are power boaters.
The Family Island regatta starts here next Wednesday, but late this evening we got news that Amy's grand mother is in need of minor surgical procedure and as soon as we can get a land line connection back to the U.S. to gather more information, we may have to turn the boat around and head back to the states so Amy can help with her recovery.
Stay tuned, more to follow. End of line.
