Well, after 28 days at Vero, we're finally underway. It took us 2 tries as the port side engine quit running right after we cast off from our mooring ball. It turns out that I did not properly tighten the spark plug wire yesterday when I changed out the plugs. Oooops, my bad.
Once both engines were running properly, we eased over to the fuel dock and took on 30 gallons of $4 gas and 80 gallons of free water. By 10 am we exited the harbour and turned our nose south.
We motor sailed through out the morning and into the afternoon, passing by Fort Pierce and ending up down by Stuart. We opted to anchor in Manatee pocket rather than push all the way down to Lake Worth. Once the anchor was set and the boat put to bed, we launched the dinghy and headed in to the water front West Marine for a few odds and ends only to discover that the Evil Empire had moved their location and they were no longer accessible by dinghy. You bastards!
On the way back we decided to make a detour by Finz water front bar and spend our boat repair dollars there instead.
We returned home around 8 pm and had left over roast beef sandwiches for dinner before gathering up our weasels and calling it a day. Tomorrow we move on.
