Another day in the books. Things were very quiet today. We spent the entire day on board and never spoke to another soul. It may sound kind of boring to those of you used to the fast paced life in America, but I think more days lke this would be a good thing.
I spent the morning doing dishes as someone (Amy) did not do them yesterday, but I can't complain, because shortly after sunrise, the Mila weasel developed an explosive gastro-intestinal problems and while I shall omit the horrid details, Amy was left to deal with the aftermath. Poor Amy.
The wind built throughout the day as it continued to clock to towards the south. A cold front is supposed to come through tomorrow night or the Tuesday morning, so I suspect we'll move down to the far south end for better protection.
I spent the afternoon working on small boat projects, but never really accomplishing anything. In the process of doing nothing, I did manage to cut down our dinghy chaps. We determined they were too long and dragging in the water when we are both in the dinghy. This in turn generates too much drag and keeps us from getting onto plane efficiently. With them now cut, I guess I'll break out the sewing machine tomorrow and re-attach the shock cord and we'll try again.
Later in the day, I made a loaf of bread and 9 rolls and then we watched Falling Down. In the evening I made a steak on the grill with smashed potatoes and Amy supplied the salad. It was good and there were no left overs.
The wind continued to build into the evening and by bedtime we were seeing 20 to 25 knots out of the south east. The anchor seems to be holding fine, but I may set the anchor drag alam just to be safe. See you tomorrow.
PS - The accompanying pictures are of a Morgan OutIsland 51 flyng her spinnaker that we passed the other day when we left G'Town.
