Fear of the 70's (by Tom)

I got the weather dude this morning as per usual and for some reason he came in extra clear. I mean I can almost always hear him, but for whatever reason he sounded like he was standing right next to me this morning. Pretty weird huh?

After weather came the 7 am unleashing of the beasts, but only Marley got up so it was pretty tame by most standards. Amy joined the land of the living around 8:30 and made me breakfast cheese burgers that I shared with Milo weasel. After breakfast I started some pretzel dough and set it aside to rise.

Super G came by around 10 and picked me up to go hunting for crabs. I took him out to a few rocks where I had found crabs before and we managed to shoot three and miss about 5. I was home and cleaned up by noon, which was just in time to bake the pretzels.

Post pretzel cooking, Amy and I went in to the Breeze to score a cold beer and get online. We were home by 3 pm and we did very little except hang out and read books until 6 pm when we dinghied over to Sequel to have dinner with Miss Julie and Super G. Knowing my somewhat unique food phobias, Miss Julie made chicken (mostly plain) and potatoes and corn bread. Dinner was excellent and we ended up staying almost until 10 pm talking and laughing.

As an aside, we might have even stayed later if Julie hadn't broke out her ABBA's greatest collection CD at which point I ran in fear of the 70's.

Back home we scared up the weasels and called it a day around 10:30. Thanks again for the dinner Miss Julie.

PS - The picture with today's log is the one my friend sent me from Maverick's surf contest this past February that I mentioned, but never posted.
