A squaw moved through the anchorage right around sun up. The wind veered to the north west and increased to about twenty five knots, so as soon as it was light enough to see, we upped anchor and moved two miles up into the north end of Thompson Bay. We anchored at the head of a pack of about twenty cruising boats, 200 feet off the beach in 4 feet of water.
By 10 am the squaw moved on and by noon the sun was out and things began to dry. Amy and I took our second mattress outside to the fore deck and scrubbed away the ferret cooties. I didn't realize we had ferret cooties so my tolerance may be higher than Amy's. After a half hour of scrubbing, we left the mattress in the sun to dry. Amy retired to our cabin to read a book and I got out my sewing machine and made a new grill cover as our old one blew away about two weeks ago.
Once done sewing, I made soft pretzels with the weasels. Amy showed up in time to roll them out and form them into pretzel shapes. Together we made twenty four snack sized pretzels in about 40 minutes. As an aside, Milo managed to steal one when we weren't looking and he and Mila shared it in under one of Amy's pillows in our bed.
The wind switched back to the south east just before sunset, so we moved the boat back to the southern anchorage right before dark. Dinner was grilled lobster wraps on homemade tortillas and they were good. After dinner we watched Snow Angels which was depressing and sad. I can't say I recommend it.
To bed by 8 pm.
