We had a monster thunder storm roll through a couple of nights ago and the ultra rich, snobby as hell, planned estate community just down the river from us took a direct lightening strike on their convention hall. The entire 5500 square foot structure burned to the ground in 35 minutes.
The fire was bad enough that we could see the glow at our house despite the torrential rains.
Fortunately, nobody was in the house at the time and no one as injured. The local paper said the house cost a cool 3.5 million to build and was currently for sale at an estimated 6.5 million.. I sure hope they had insurance.....
In other news, Amy left for New York yesterday, so I am left to ride herd over the tribe of weasels. Today they assisted me in climbing half way up the mast to run new leash lines for my stack pack. You'd be surprised at how helpful three, furry little weasels can be.
More to follow, end of line.
