Fire! Fire! (by tom)

July 26, 2010 Buddy Fred's Dock

We had a monster thunder storm roll through a couple of nights ago and the ultra rich, snobby as hell, planned estate community just down the river from us took a direct lightening strike on their convention hall. The entire 5500 square foot structure burned to the ground in 35 minutes.

The fire was bad enough that we could see the glow at our house despite the torrential rains.

Fortunately, nobody was in the house at the time and no one as injured. The local paper said the house cost a cool 3.5 million to build and was currently for sale at an estimated 6.5 million.. I sure hope they had insurance.....

In other news, Amy left for New York yesterday, so I am left to ride herd over the tribe of weasels. Today they assisted me in climbing half way up the mast to run new leash lines for my stack pack. You'd be surprised at how helpful three, furry little weasels can be.

More to follow, end of line.

Hmmm suspicious house for sale double the cost to build. In NYC when a landlord burns down the warehouse to collect insurance money they call it “Je... er I mean a certain ethnocentric religious group that considers themselves the “chosen ones” and rumored to control the media and Mel Gibson is their number one fan, lightning” Not that there is anything wrong with the prior mention groups or its affiliates and in no way is the opinion of the writer or the opinion of the writers attorneys so “Kol Tuv” my brothas from another mother..
