Fishless (by Tom)

I awoke this morning and caught the weather dude, played with the weasels and then made two grilled cheesies. Amy woke up around 9 and after some coffee and vegetable goo we upped anchor, raised the sails and took off for G'Town.

We sailed along the drop off (deep ocean, greater than 1000 feet deep) in the hopes of finding some sort of monster of the deep, but it was not to be. After 4 hours of relatively peaceful sailing, we rounded up into the harbour and took up station in our normal location just off the monument.

I rushed to put the boat to bed and then Amy helped me launch the dinghy so I could head in to check out the volleyball action. My shoulder isn't completely right, but it doesn't really hurt any more, so I thought maybe I could play a game or two left handed. It actually worked out pretty well and I had no problems as long as I didn't try to swing with my dominant hand. I stopped after three games and then took up a position on the bench next to Miss Julie and just watched the rest of the games from the comfort of a beach chair located in the shade of the palm trees.

Back on the boat, I showered off the sand, checked on Amy who still isn't feeling good and then raced in to St. Francis for poker night. We had 36 people show up and in the end I came home in 3rd and walked away with 40 bucks. Afterwards, I had a drink at the bar with Ollie, Pam and Miss Jillian before returning home to Amy and the weasels around 10:30.

Amy was already in bed, so I hung out with Mila weasel, had a rum and orange juice and then called it a day around midnight.

PS - Today's picture is of the singer/drummer of the band that played at the regatta the other day. For the record, he rocked and I think he is much better than both Phil Collins and Don Fry (drummer/singers).
