Hello and welcome to spring. For those of you playing the home version, today's temperature is the same as yesterday's, a balmy 74 degrees.
This morning we picked up the anchor and moved around the point to just off of town. We are out of fuel, water, margaritas and rum and we sort of figured it would be easier to load up on everything if we weren't two miles from town.
Once we got the boat re-anchored, I started making water runs while Amy went in search of an operational telephone that she could use to call New York and take care of some issues her grand mother is having. It took her an hour to sort through the mess and afterwords, she met me at the dinghy dock where we proceeded to ferry two cases of rum, a case of beer, some margarita supplies and 20 gallons of water back to the mother ship.
To say the dinghy was overloaded is a gross under statement.
Eventually we arrived back home and together we managed to get everything out of the dinghy and stowed away. Around 3 pm I had to make a computer house call with Bob on Time Enough 2. We met Bob and his wife four years ago up at Norman's Cay in the Exuma chain. They used to cruise in a little 22 foot MacGregor trailer sailor, but have since upgraded to a Gemini 32 catamaran. It took thirty minutes, but I was able to get things sorted out. I hung out for a little bit and then returned home.
For the record, they paid their bill with chocolate bars. Sweet! Hey that's a joke too! Cool.
The rest of the afternoon was spent indoors hiding from rain drops as yet another front passes through our area. We alternately played with the weasels and surfed the net until 6 pm when I made cracked conch and French fries for dinner. After dinner our friend Adam on Rubicon came by and said hello and we spent twenty minutes catching up on where we had each been lately before he had to zoom off to chase women at tonight's Rake and Scrape.
Anyhow, if the weather forecast holds, we are looking to get out of here tomorrow or the next day. I may have forgot to mention that my shoulder is feeling a little better, so we are going to hold off on sailing all the way back to Nassau to get an MRI. This in turn means we can head out of G'Town and do some sailing and hopefully some fishing.
Stay tuned, more to follow. End of line.
