Still More Weather (by Tom)

We moved the boat to Eva Cay this morning so that we could pick up the internet signal at the Long Island Breeze. I uploaded several new logs to our web site and Amy called her grand mother in New York City. While online I downloaded a bunch of weather updates and it looks as if this pattern of a front passing by every other day will continue indeifinitly. Shitty death!

None of us can remember weather this bad for this long. Even our Bahamian friends who have lived here all their lives say this year's weather is the worst they can remember. It almost makes you wonder about that whole global warming thing.

We hung out on the boat until around noon and then went into the Breeze to drop off a bag of garbage and have a beer. The usual suspects were in attendance and we spent an hour and a half hanging out and talking with friends.

Back on the boat we picked up anchor and moved the mother ship back down to Malone's Helmut to ride out the next front which should arrive sometime around sunrise. We made sure the boat was ready for another blow and then had spicy shrimp and rice for dinner before calling it a day around 8 pm.

PS - These pictures are of the finished cockpit enclosure and dinghy chaps I made for Bob on Navigator.
