Superbowl Party (by Tom)

The wind continues to howl out of the west and we continue to hide behind Fergusson Point. Around noon I took the dinghy to the beach to fix a crack that had developed in the top lip. Fortunately, the crack isn't structural in nature and so my temporary fix should be sufficient until we can take three or four days and grind the fiberglass and rebuild it.

Around 4:30 Amy and I took the dinghy back in to the beach and hitch hiked the three miles up to Palm Bay Beach Club to watch the superbowl. We scored front row seats at the bar and we bought a bucket of Kalik beers. The game was ok, but the commercials were sort of lame I thought. What was it with all the dudes running around in their underwear?

In the third quarter we left Palm Bay and walked down to Bar 12 at the Fish Fry. We hung out with Les and watched the rest of the game before we hitchhiked back to the beach and our dinghy.
