Ubiquitous Blue (by Tom)

It rained all day today, keeping us indoors. Amy took the opportunity to catch up on a bunch of paper work while I opted to break out the sewing machine and make a new sail bag for my wind surfer sail. The old sail bag has more holes in it than actual mass, so I figured now was as good a time as any to replace it.

It was a pretty small project and only took twenty minutes. As an aside, I'm still trying to use up the last of the 40 square yards of ubiquitous blue Sunbrella that I got two years ago from my buddy Frank. The color is fairly ugly, but the price was right (free) and at a cost of around $600 new, I'll deal with the blue-ness.

To date I've made a boat cover for a 25 foot ski boat, a car cover for the Amy mobile, a grill cover for the new Buddy Fred mega grill and now the wind surfer sail bag cover and I still have material left over. I think that blue sunbrella might be able to self multiply or something. Kind of like sour dough starter; maybe? Sort of?

Anyhow, the rain continued through out the day pausing only long enough for me to retrieve another 6 crabs from my two deployed crab whackers. For those of you keeping score at home, this brings our seasonal total to 78 keepers.

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be dry and reasonably cool, so I am planning on working on wiring up our new engine hour/tachometers and then looking at installing the new transducer for our chart plotter.

More to follow, end of line.

PS - As always, no under sized or female crabs were hurt in the making of this log entry. The same cannot be said for the male crabs. Sorry.
