Water Boarding (by Tom)

Today started at the ultra early hour of 3:30 am because once again. left to my own devices, I forgot to close the door to the weasel cage last night. Consequently, the weasel tongues awoke me demanding food well before the normal time and no amount of intimidation would drive them away. As an aside, I am thinking of learning how that whole water boarding thing works, but that is a different story for another day.

Once I got up to operating temperature, the day unfolded rather nicely. I donned my wet suit and dove over board to scrub one half of my sea wee laden vessel. By 9 am, I was tired and made myself two soft tacos from the leftovers of last night's taco fiesta supreme.

Bruce from Different Drummer showed up around 10 am to drop off a hand drive for some movies he requested via WIVO. After he left I finally broke down and did the dishes for the first time since Amy left. I used Milo and Marley as drying implements and now most of our fine china sports short weasel hair of either the black or white variety.

At 12:30 pm, I took the dinghy over to Different Drummer and then caught a ride to volleyball with Bruce. Car (dingy) pulling rocks. Remember, save as much gas as you can.

After several sub-par games played in high winds, something let go in shoulder and I had to call it a day. I'm not sure how serious it is, but something tells me my volleyball days are over for the season. Bruce brought me home and I returned to the mother ship to shower and clean up before heading over to dinner with Pete and Tina on Scud. Jan and Dave from Zing also joined us and a good time was had by all.

Around 10 pm I said my goodbyes and then dinghied home in the pitch black. It took 15 minutes to find the mark to turn in to my anchorage, but I made it eventually. I could only find the Mila weasel, so I gave her her daily injection and then she came up and slept in one of my pillows and we called it a day.
